Pool Entry

It has come to our attention that there have been some queries about the rising cost of pool entry at the Matamata pools.  We understand your concern but please note, pool entry prices are set by the council and are in no way influenced by the swimming club or Laing Swim School.  It is our understanding that pool entry prices are set at council meetings and any objections to rising pool entry costs have to be submitted in writing to the Matamata Piako District Council. 

Facebook Page

Matamata Swimming Club has developed a facebook page.  The FB page will now  be used to inform people of news and events.  Like the Swim Matamata FB page to receive updates in your news feed. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Swim-Matamata/100884816731322 This Blog will no longer be updated with regular swimming news.
The club website is also active and has the club database of swimmers times etc.

AGM & Prizegiving 2012

The Swim Matamata AGM will be held at 4pm,on Sunday 27th May, at the Matamata Rugby Club. Prize giving commence at the conclusion of the AGM and then a light meal will be provided.  If you are attending the Prize giving  and staying for the meal please RSVP to Shelley Dickinson   matamatarecorder@gmail.com by Sunday 20th May, with numbers for the meal.

Please note that in Term 2, starting from Monday 7th May, the afternoon squad training for the competitive squad will be at the following times
Mon, Tues, Wed
5pm-6.15pm
Friday 4.30-5.30pm

Please bring sports shoes/ socks for some out of pool exercises as well

Congratulations to Marijke Hattingh and Kyle Fannin  both of whom have received Swimming Waikato NZ Junior Scholarships.  They will be awarded a certificate of achievement at the Swim Waikato awards in May and will receive $100 and $50 respectively.
